its kinda depressing.

he doesnt get the theory, the reason we need to study it and its uses.

moreover he doesnt even know the laws surrounding legal/illegal questions.

that is all

19. can you give an example or two?
I remember I was asked once in an interview(by a woman) "What turns you on?"

I only wish I was quick-thinking enough to say something like, "Women in positions of power" or something like that. But, I was probably too shy at the time to say that, anyhow.

22. you cant ask if a person is single or married. you cant ask women for their plans to have kids
you cant ask any questions to minorities/women that you wouldnt have asked a white male.

you cant ask about religion.

you cant ask about country of origin or citizenship, you can only ask if its legal for them to work in the USA. question has to be uniformly asked to everyone.

ex: you cannot ask a woman if she is willing to travel if you dont ask the men that question.

23. For some jobs you can ask if the person is a US citizen.
If they aren't, they may not be able to get the security clearances in a timely manner, or at all in some instances.

occupational qualification you can ask the question

31. Just about every application I get
has are you authorized to work in the US for your current employer, or for any employer?

and, also the question is will I need sponsorship in the future.

But, i guess the "What turns you on?" question was okay, just probably not the best choice of words.

16. I hate it when that happens.
But it took me too long to learn how to keep my mouth shut.

Nothing good comes of sitting in the front row, rolling your eyes and muttering "oh..my..god.." just loud enough for the professor to hear.

21. I'm in grad school now...
so all the people in my classes have some different professional backgrounds to bring into the class. If we are discussing a topic that the professor may not know a ton about or one of the students deal with the issue on a daily basis, the profs (at least the one's I've had so far) know enough to defer to the student with the expertise. I hate it when they pretend to know all, it makes them look like a pompous douche.

I take classes in education, sports management and health related fields so maybe it's different in my neck of the woods because things are constantly changing in these fields so we grunts out in the trenches may actually know better sometimes.
