Ow!! I'm awake!
Lord knows I love my boyfriend to pieces, but...

My back's been blown out bad for over a week now. Blinding pain from my lower back down to my calf. Only in the last couple days could I even lie down in bed to rest. Tonight, I went to bed early, and after 20 minutes, found the one comfortable position I can lie in - on my back, with my torso straight, and my legs twisted off to the right a bit. My left foot was slightly hanging off the bed - hey, it lets me sleep.

The dear bf came in and needed to find his car keys to go return a movie we'd rented. Being thoughtful, he didn't turn on the light. Instead, he slammed straight into my foot, jamming my leg up into my hip and rousing me from slumber with ungodly shrieks of pain. Took 20 minutes for the pain to subside enough, but the adrenaline jolt has me wide awake now.

I love him, I love him, I love him... He felt so bad, he went out to the store to get me more ibuprofen.

1. I'm so sorry
hope the ibuprofen helps.

I am having a similar dilemma with mine tonight. I love him but he is inadvertently making me miserable right now.

4. Shit, MkF my ADD kicked in, I'll go to the post office tomorrow.
I got called for a job a few days ago and the last two days I've been interviewing. I know what it's like to have a back go out.

7. He only did it to have an excuse to go to the store.
"As long as I'm here I'll just pick up some snax, nom nom nom."

I've seen that trick. :grr:

8. Hey, that's what loving bf's do.
When they accidentally cause you pain, they are immediately remorseful and go out to get some stuff to make you feel better.

Sounds like you're in the best of care.

13. I know
He felt so bad. I've had so little sleep lately, and when I DID manage to fall asleep, he hurt me. It hurt so much I just sat on the edge of the bed and cried. Then I felt bad for HIM because he felt so bad. I kept telling him I knew he didn't mean it, and I wasn't mad at him, but he just felt awful.

12. Ha!
I can barely make it to the kitchen. I don't think I'll be walking on the beach today.

15. Have you tried Neurontin?
For future reference, you can buy Neurontin from Europe through Uniquenutrition.org.
http://www.uniquenutrition.net/shop/item.asp?itemid=215&catid=17 Neurontin is good for nerve pain.

It may take up to 6 weeks to arrive but they are dependable. Order now for future use. This is a great site for many health concerns.

There is also a yoga move that can help. Lay on your back with knees bent, now place your left ankle to you right knee and reach through the left leg to you right shin and pull it toward your chest. Hold it there for 3-4 seconds then do the other side.
