Freepers...
x(

I had to run some errands today, and my daughter was feeling up to it, so we went out for awhile. There was a woman with several petitions outside the store today, covering varying things. One of the things listed was marriage. I asked what about marriage. She replied with the One Man One Woman thing. Just on the face of that, I was COMPLETELY turned off to signing anything at her table.

I made it a point to say that her stance was entirely homophobic and bigoted.

4. I wish I knew why people think it would
hurt their marriage if gays were allowed to marry. What is it to them? I don't get it.

6. Because they'd make them look bad by maybe staying together?
I bet this woman's own marriage is a fraud.

9. I'm glad you said something.
If enough people say something, and enough other people hear it often enough, we could sway public opinion.

And maybe then the stupid bigots wouldn't be getting their way.

11. I probably would have said
"sorry, but I don't believe the government should ever get so big that it interferes in people's lives that way."

12. Remember when there were a bunch of people in front of the library...
...marching, waving signs and buttonholing people to SIGN THE PETION!!!...apparently, there was...

Floride in the drinking water!

:wtf:

(hint: it's fluoride, not 'floride')

Shades of Moran Man!
I just have a hard time taking people seriously if they can't be bothered to even spell stuff right on their signs.
Makes them look as though they're sheeple running on noise and emotions...
as opposed to informed, passionate citizens.
Operative word being "INFORMED" there...

19. I can't wait to encounter the "shower nuts" in November outside my voting place
Edited on Fri Feb-29-08 11:06 PM by lizerdbits
In my county (Montgomery MD) they want to get reverse allowing transgender people to pick what restrooms and locker rooms they use claiming that women and girls are in danger of assault. I'll try to remember to be terrified that someone in a neighboring stall or at my gym might not have one of the two standard sets of genitals. I'm sure transgender people don't actually pee or change clothes, THEY ALL WANT TO RAPE ME. :eyes:

22. I'll never understand those kinds of people. If it was for a ballot measure, they
were probably trying to get it on there to bring out the knuckledragger vote in November so they can have the right wing Supreme Court they've been wanting.
