Topsy Turvy evening...
I was supposed to go to a bar in downtown Chapel Thrill this evening to meet some folks for happy hour.

OK fine. So I get all dolled up... makeup, hair, little bit of bling and everything.

Couldn't find a place to park.

:argh:

After driving around for 1/2 hour I said fuck this and left downtown.

Because of said dolled-upness, I didn't feel like going home yet.

Wound up eating dinner at the bar in the local gourmet shop. Spent the next 2 hours eating an insanely good dessert and talking to a guy who is a statistics prof at UNC. I gave him my phone #.

So, a miss and a hit. I'm at home now, in my jammies and a nice glass of wine beside me. :-)

How's your evening going?

1. Sounds like a good evening in the end. Maybe this will be the start
of a great relationship.

4. Maybe.
He was pleasant enough, but I didn't really feel anything talking to him, other than it was pleasant.

We'll see.

:-)

Glad the evening wasn't a total waste though.

2. Chapel Hill's parking situation has ALWAYS sucked...
 :hi: It's even worse now.

Glad you met a decent guy! I hope it works out. :)

3. Not only that
the few places I usually go just weren't giving any spaces last night.

blech

I also made the mistake of not getting into downtown before about 5pm. If I get there then, I can usually find a space between the people leaving for work and before all the partyer get there.

But I didn't feel like walking around for a hour and a 1/2. :silly:
