Driving home tonight, a dog crossed the street in front of me...
no human nearby, no leash, no collar, and his backside in a fucking cast. He looked like a husky mix, but it was dark, so I'm not positive.

I pulled into the parking lot he was about to cross, and whistled to him. He responded to the whistle; but was freaked by my car and ran away. I hope he makes it home ok...and I hope his owners will take care that he doesn't get out again.

1. Damn.
:(

I hope that dog has a good home, and gets back there okay.

That is very good of you, that you tried to get the dog to make sure he was okay.

2. He ran back across the road and into a park...
I'm hoping he'll hang out in the park, and stay out of the street. Poor dog!

5. Maybe he's just feeling better and decided to roam his old stomping grounds?
I'm guessing that if he had a cast, that his owners love him
and he probably just got loose or took off from them from his yard.

Don't fret. Think positively. He's probably looking for some pune tang, cast or not!!

It is almost spring, after all! The dog knows what's up! ;)
