It was bloody cold on that hill in Tunisia, and Cleese refused to wear a diaper. (That's him in black at about 2:00.)

I think Cleese just wasn't real thrilled about appearing in public in his skivvies, as evidenced by this bit at about 5:38.

Chapman, OTOH, had no problem with it. In fact, dropping trou was one of his specialties, both on and off the set. :D
