I just saw the eighteen-thousandth commercial I've seen for "hotwire.com."
And in the "fine print" at the end of the commercial, they inform you that if you use their service, you have NO FUCKING IDEA which specific hotel you've booked a room in, nor ANY FUCKING IDEA where, in your target city, the damn hotel is located.
And NO refunds. No take-backs. No second chances. You just blindly chose a city, and trust that website to deliver you a reservation at a "four-star hotel for a two-star price," and TRUST them not only to deliver on that promise, but also trust them that the hotel is in a location you'll like.
Are there REALLY such cheap-ass, ignorant suckers out there? I guess there must be, or that company wouldn't still be in business and have enough money to buy TV ads.
Or maybe it's just me. I, for one, am not about to blindly go on a website and commit to reserving a hotel, with no possibility of review or cancellation, just because they promise it's CHEAP!
Any one have any explanations?
