Any KILLING JOKE fans out there?
If so, some VERY GOOD news out of the KJ camp.

According to www.KillingJoke.com, the original line-up is REUNITING for a new album and tour. This will be the first time in 20+years that the original line-up of Jaz Coleman, Geordie Walker, Martin "Youth" Glover and Big Paul Ferguson will be playing together.

There's not a a lot of video of the original line-up out there, as they haven't played together in over 20 years, but here's a small sample of the original KJ, for the uninitiated (all in crappy-ass bootleg quality, of course):

1. Oh kick ass.
Between that and stumbling across re-mastered Sisters of Mercy albums today has been great.

6. I just about pissed myself when I got the email
I never thought Paul Ferguson would play with them again. And Youth has been very tour-shy over the past decade, so it'll be a double treat.

And a new Bauhaus disc is coming out tomorrow, too! Wow, it's like it's 20 years ago again. Too bad I'm no longer 18 though.

5. I saw them in 1994, w/ Youth on Bass
and it was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen.

Somehow I'll make it to this one, even though I know I'll feel it for a week afterward.

12. I would've like to have seen them with Raven on bass
but sadly that won't happen (RIP Raven) :(

I don't know if Youth will stay on permanently or not. I'm guessing no, because he doesn't really like to tour.

3. Youth produced the best Crowded House CD.
Together Alone. I've heard that he and the band didn't get along.

7. Youth is a brilliant producer, but he's a pain in the ass, I've heard
I'm really surprised he agreed to tour. He makes a pretty good living producing.

4. Awesome.
My personal favorite is "Extremities, Dirt and Various Repressed Emotions." I suppose it's because it was my first killing joke album, but those songs kick my ass more than anything else they've done.

8. That album is a smoker
I wore the grooves out of that one when it came out. I was surprised they even got together for that one, as they had a pretty acrimonious breakup in the late 80s, and the album before "Extremities..." was really pretty lame.

15. i have to admit, i liked Metallica..
Edited on Mon Mar-03-08 09:45 PM by Ahpook
when they started. I saw them back then (yes, i am an old bastard and getting cranky:))

It's very ironic they would throw records out to a crowd telling them to tape them and spread them around.

Now look at the bastards:)

13. Awesome news!
They've been one of those bands that was always on my playing list but never quite at the top of it, but just in the last year I've been listening to them all the time. Hearing Raven playing with Ministry really brought me back to them, and I've been hooked all over again. It'll be awesome to hear the new one!
