I've been a fan of these guys since the early 1990s. I just discovered that they have a podcast, so I'm catching up on those and getting obsessed all over again. I just ordered every single book/script they have available (except for the one for the Shakespeare show, as I already had that).

1. I remember seeing the original cast a couple times

Hilarious stuff. They toured my little college town a couple times a few years apart. The first time (doing the shakespeare show), they had an audience member who wanted to participate (and a little drunk) and just handled his comments without missing a beat, making it a part of the show.

A couple years later, they came back with the American history show and asked if that guy was in the audience!

He actually was (sober this time) and they used his past experience with them in the show. Pretty good stuff.

2. Saw it locally (twice) in recent years.

Live beats video--though the original cast are great.

edit: I should say that I saw Complete Works (Abridged). I don't know what else that gang produces.
