I wish I could take credit for it.

Anyone heard of "Nurontin?" I'm taking it off formulary for my nerve damage to the back, causing constant hideous firey pins and needles pain to my left thigh for the last 10 years, and now starting in the right.

The stuff is for seizures, but FDA ok'd it for things like this, but it has this interesting side effect. I am in a colossally good mood. VERY hard to get pissed off about anything. It isn't like a PERCODAN good mood where you're half whacked out of your skull all the time, or a dizzy one like ULTRAM or VICODIN. I just feel pretty good.

Oh yeah, and it does work on the leg, at least OK. I'll still need the nerve block, but I might try and stay on the NURONTIN. It's very nice not to have to clench one's teeth all the time, so to speak.

Don't worry though...I can still work up some rhetoric, so I'll still be saying my peace, I just won't be quite as PISSED OFF about it. Maybe it will make for more studied writing, I'm not sure.

Anyway, nice to be me today. Did I REALLY say that? JESUS.

Beats the shit out of some other anti-anxiety drugs I've taken for my phobia (Is phobia the plural of phobia? I have two.) and along with the generic Celexa I've been sleeping like a toddler after all day at Disney World.
