2. So far we've not gotten anything severe...
But it's headed our way. :scared:

Hope you have a basement...

3. I'm in the mountains
the terrain breaks up tornados, but there has easily been 60mph gusts.

The house has made it since 1934, so I'm golden :)

Good luck to you.

5. I'm monitoring the situation every few minutes...
There's been a tornado sighting in north central NC...almost at the VA border. Tornado watches are in effect from MD to SC.

We live close to railroad tracks, so listening for trains won't help me at all. :D

Glad you're safe!

4. We had massive thunderstorms roll through.....
I turned on the Weather Channel and the alert kept going off....far better than when I lived in Wisconsin (Madison) and the tornado sirens started up! Lost power briefly but now it's beautiful and calm....and we got an inch or 2 of much needed rain.

6. I'm glad to hear that!
I've been keeping an eye on the drought for the last couple of months. Seems like things are getting better. Hope it keeps up!

7. I'm sure my neighbors will be thrilled....
when I stop yammering at them about conserving -- we have a shared well. We still have a long way to go, but every drop of rain is appreciated now!

Stay safe tonight!
