2. Roughly
There were 17 Clinton supporters and 44 Obama supporters counted for a total of 61. There were some children as well. I think all the adults were counted, so 61+kids.

3. Congrats!
I voted in Texas 0688 (NW Houston). :patriot: We had 5 precincts in one polling place and there had to have been at least 700 Dems there :bounce:

6. Do you know how many there were in 2004?
A friend of mine is a precinct captain in a Collin County precinct. 4 years ago, it was him and the precinct secretary at the caucus. I haven't heard about this year.

7. The Process
We all went into a classroom at a local elementary (I guess the Republicans — if there are any in my district — went into another). After we signed in, we split into two sides of the room. Those of us who were voters (i.e. not the kids) raised our hands and were counted by the precinct captain.

After the tally, they divided the 8 state delegates. Clinton got 2 and Obama got six. We then voted for those and came out with quite a coalition for our very diverse neighborhood (we have people from different races and economic classes).

8. I just got an amazing report from McKinney, Texas!
My friend is a precinct captain in deep red Collin County. (Trivia: when they refer to "McMaynerbury," they are making fun of McKinney.)

In 2004 two people showed up for the Democratic Caucus: my friend, the precinct captain and the precinct secretary.

This year? 500 people.

10. 1167 Ft Worth here. 2004 I think there were 6 who caucused
Last night, we probably had 45 who signed the vote sheets then left. Then 25 stayed, 18 who are delegates and our delegate vote split 7 Obama and 11 Clinton ..we have 2 open delegate slots. I think we would have filled them but it just took forever to get to that point and people wanted to go home.

The BIG news from my polling place is this: prior years, total votes cast would maybe be 150 for 3 precincts who share this polling place, that is from the little tally on the optical scanner. When we got there @ 5:50 the line was out the door and down the walk. It was like a party..all chatting in line and being amazed at the turnout.

We finally voted at 6:40. There was STILL a long line out the door and down the walk. The ones in line at 7 finally voted somewhere between 7:15 and 7:30. Caucuses didn't start until 8:30 due to long lines for that to get back into the building.

IT WAS AMAZING and wonderful.

Welcome BACK, America
