My argument is that if a dog bites, you put it down. I think the cat should die.

4. I'd be more concerned about why the cat bit her?
The ONLY time my dog has ever bit me was when he had a problem that needed medical care. I KNEW he would never bite me unless there was something wrong.

I tried to check his paw because he seemed to be favoring it and limping on it. He bit me! Hard! I KNEW there was something wrong and took him to the vet the next day. He ended up having surgery to pull out an infected claw, and had to wear a cast for several weeks.

I'd take the cat to the vet, and wouldn't be so quick to just kill it. Jeezus Christ.

8. How about when you're playing with a tug of war and
and the dog gets your hand instead of the object being tugged? Gee, if I got a shot every time....

5. I'm not sure I like that argument.
I mean, I tend to bite people now and then, and I don't want to get put down.

6. Why does she have to get a shot?
If I got a shot every time a dog or cat bit me, I'd be a pincushion.

11. cat bites can get terribly, terribly infected
Both my parents have gotten cellulitis from cat bites. My dad actually had to be admitted to the hospital for it.

16. most cat bites become infected
And you don't want to see what a really bad cat bite looks like on the second day if there's been no treatment. Hint: it's just like one of those abcess boils cats get. Huge, ugly, and full of dangerous stuff.

Anything more than an extremely tiny bite needs treatment.

I can't count how many times I've been bitten by cats over the years. Never got a shot. Nothing especially bad ever happened.*

I should clarify. Nothing bad ever happened to me OR the cats. It's really not a big deal.

23. My cat bites me all the time. Well twice a month when he gets grumpy.
Fortunately he only has one fang so he never manages to puncture skin. And then it is into the bathroom for an hour's time out for him. By then he has calmed down and forgotten his former self.

That doesn't seem quite fair but I guess rules are rules. Do you get to keep all her stuff?
