Patrick Swayze has five weeks to live, The National Enquirer has learned.
In a shocking world exclusive, The NATIONAL ENQUIRER has uncovered the devastating news that the beloved Hollywood actor and dancer was diagnosed in late January with pancreatic cancer that has spread to other organs.

Full details are in the print edition of the NATIONAL ENQUIRER that goes on sale tomorrow.

For the past month, Patrick, 55, has been traveling to Stanford University's prestigious cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy, but his doctors are no longer optimistic that the treatments will be successful.

1. Remember that friend of mine I told you about with pancreatic cancer?
Dx in August, passed in Feb. Three kids.

Pancreatic cancer is horrific. I think I'd take my chances with brittle diabetes and have my pancreas is removed.

4. Yes, Pancreatic cancer
is horrible. When I worked at the cancer center, the PA patients were always the fastest to go.

Part of the problem is they have a hard time getting a dx early enough for it to be any good. It was so typical to see that the person had been sick for 8 or 9 months, been through 4 or 5 docs and no dx.

If this is true, I'm really sorry for PS and his family. He has always seemed like such a great guy as well as a terrific dancer.

5. It's a horrible disease.
My friend died peacefully, and at home, thank God, but still. 54 years old, three kids. Heartbreaking.

7. Generally, GI symptoms.
But, by the time they've gotten to the point where they are symptomatic, it's too late. Hell, with pancreatic cancer, it's always too late.

9. Unexplained "Gastritis"
pops up a lot.

You are uncomfortable and don't know why. Go to the ER, they can't explain it. Nothing shows up on the x-rays or MR so they tell you to go home and gulp down Maloxx.

It's not until you feel so bad that you get referred to a GI surgeon and they endoscopies and biopsies that you start to get a clue.

Disclaimer: I'm not an MD. This is just a summary of the people who came to see my boss.

18. Sorry for your friend. I lost a friend last month to it.
It's a terrible, terrible cancer. Completely non curable. Even with a Whipple procedure, the rates suck. :(
