Do you have the courage to post everything you've eaten today?
Me: Two pieces of whole wheat toast, butter,, a Slimfast meal bar, an apple, a few ounces of organic pecans and almonds, about eight Girl Scout cookies, milk ,"Panda" take-out with six jumbo shrimp, chicken breast and green beans, and mixed vegetables.

Critiques welcome.

1. Sure.
A whole wheat bagel and low-fat cream cheese. Low-fat banana yogurt.
Broccoli. Garden Salsa Sun Chips. Two girl scout all-abouts.
Baked chicken. Rice. Steamed carrots.
Ice cream sandwich.

Assorted beverages, including diet pop and water.

I'm a little jealous of your jumbo shrimp. I am having the worst seafood yearnings lately and you just can't get really good seafood in the middle of it all.

7. Everyone's eating girl scout cookies
I stayed up really last night, got up really early, and all day I kept feeling my energy drop so I kept eating. What I really needed was to sleep, so I finally did. But I ate more today than I have in a really long time, or at least it seemed like I did. NOT looking forward to getting on scale tomorrow.

Zone Bar

100 calorie hostess pack

Thomas Bagel Bread with peanut butter

Nutrsystem beef stew

cereal with banana

Big cup of mixed fruit
slice of Raisin bread

salad with chicken

Beer

Alas, no girl scout cookies

8. Sounds healthy enough to me.... except for the cookies...
but since they are G.S. cookies, they have negative calories.

My menu: Oatmeal, juice; salad bar at school; a couple of M&M's for afternoon energy; a cup of fat-free cocoa, a cookie; baked fish and a roll, ice tea, jello; a couple of pretzel sticks, and a glass of diet soda (carbonated water with flavor).

28. I usually eat very very well, as a rule.
My partner is a chef, and we're very into food.

I usually have dinner leftovers for lunch - today was an odd day with a work meeting and a fundraising luncheon.

My usual breakfast is an 8 grain roll from Starbucks and a banana. Or a balance bar on days when I'm running.

24. I actually eat it mid morning
since I have to get up very early for work, and my breakfast is at five am. Then my lunch is also early, at eleven, so I just have fruit and mixed nuts. Seems to hold me until about five or so, when I have dinner. But I'm considering eating more at lunch to cut down on my urge to eat too much for later, or to splurge on things like Girl Scout cookies.

34. 11 to 5 is a long time to go on fruit and nuts
Are you starving when you have dinner?

I basically eat 5 times a day.

I eat an early breakfast, usually cereal and banana.

Then around 10:30 or 11:00 I need something to carry me to lunch time. So maybe some skim milk or fruit.

My biggest meal is lunch, we have a good cafeteria at work so I usually get the hot meal, some protein and vegtables.

Zone bar in the afternoon

Then at dinner I try to stay light, with soup and salad.

I work really hard at lunch trying to eat slowly and pay attention to when I'm full, because I really need to learn when to stop.

Occasionally I do get uncomfortably hungry and then I overdo it. So I think I'm going to add another small meal at around three. Soup and salad is my idea of the perfect dinner, too.

30. Well, today was a snow day
so I didn't eat my usual fare which is much lighter when I'm at work. Usually I have a half piece of buttered samoon for breakfast, and a peanut butter sandwich for lunch sometimes with a piece of fruit. Then a real dinner.

But today I was home living a sloth's life. Homemade spicy lentil soup for breakfast in addition to the 1/2 samoon, some fresh mozarella, some fig newtons, a couple of pickles, a couple of crackers, and for dinner more lentil soup, a little bread with cheese thing from the Iraqi store (like a very small light pizza sort of), and a salad. And then some ice cream. And a boatload of coffee.

Breakfast-donut, cranberry juice, and tea. (I usually have cereal and toast, but there were donuts in the house, so what's a girl to do?)

Lunch--BK veggie, onion rings (my great weakness), iced tea.

Mid-afternoon snack--chewy granola bar

Supper--Lentil soup, multi-grain bread, salad with vinegar and oil, pineapple upside down cake (Lenten soup supper at church)

On edit: Probably peanut butter GS cookies for bedtime snack

64. Sure.
I just had to keep a two-week food journal for my doc, so am well in the habit of remembering what I've eaten, lately.

1 grapefruit w/brown sugar
1/2 c. chocolate milk
1 raspberry yogurt

gluten-free pasta with tuna and cream sauce
asparagus

2 gluten-free crackers (ick, gave the rest away)
Twix

1/2 sandwich on whole wheat roll - salami, turkey, american cheese, mayo
black olives
cheetos
2 pieces chocolate w/cognac

Gypsy Cold Care tea w/honey

Altogether, a pretty crap-tacular food day. Ah well, tomorrow is another day, try again...

83. Of course.
My husband and I eat the exact same thing every day at the moment - we're on a diet. :D

8:00AM : 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1 piece whole-grain organic toast, hot green tea

10:00AM: hard-boiled egg, 3 organic whole grain crackers

12:00PM: turkey sandwich made with 3 slices turkey breast, 2 slices whole-grain organic bread, and mustard; apple

2:00PM: tomato salad with balsamic vinegar

4:00PM: organic string cheese, 3 organic whole grain crackers

6:00PM: tonight for dinner will be pork chop, steamed broccoli, and 1 cup whole grain pasta with homemade tomato sauce.

8:00PM: 2 cubic inches of cheese (seriously), 3 organic whole grain crackers

It's sort of like the Zone diet, very effective for managing low blood sugar issues, we don't feel deprived, and we're losing weight. Bit of a weird withdrawal from ALL chemicals the first couple of days (artificial sweetener, etc), but feeling much better now. As a side bonus, my skin looks great, not sure why.

and agave nectar. That's my standard weekday breakfast.

Snack:
Some Endangered Species chocolate.

Pea soup.
Samples at Whole Foods (grilled chicken, breakfast burrito, chocolate raspberry tart).
A cranberry muffin (I normally don't eat carbs like this, but I am so PMSing today and am craving carbs).

I'm about to have a small pink grapefruit that I cut up this morning.

Dinner:
I'm having homemade kefta kabab, roasted veggies (sweet potato, asparagus, garlic, onion, tomato, mushrooms, eggplant, brussel sprouts), whole wheat pita and hummos.

After the gym snack:
Some more Endangered Species chocolate and either an orange or a pink lady apple.

Plus lots of water and homemade iced white and green tea.

108. my regimen since I began Weight Watchers 2.5 years ago. I have lost 60 pounds
and reached my goal weight and am in the maintenance phase now.

I feel marvelous, and it is fun to shop again.

I eat oatmeal every morning, (steelcut, a brand called "Thick and Rough" LOL)
I eat 2 apples every day normally
I drink lots of water

I don't feel deprived,
I don't get very hungry because I keep my appetite level with the apples
I have real half and half in my coffee

Yeah, I blow it every once in a while but Weight Watchers allows that.

White bean soup with turkey ham, a handful of rosemary crackers, 1/2 ounce of Havarti Dill cheese, some hummus w/ olive oil, some tabouli, a piece of naan, 3 pieces of frozen cheese pizza, pomegranate juice mixed with club soda, pineapple juice mixed with club soda, and a lot of water.

I also exercised for 45 minutes today.

All in all, not too bad, I think, except for the pizza. But by the time I ate that I was already tired from spending 3 hours cleaning the house and not in the mood to cook anything decent. They were smallish pieces though.

97. I don't really have an emotional connection to my food,
so it doesn't really require courage.

I had hazelnut and tangerine oatmeal, and a latte for breakfast. Snacked on a golden delicious apple about midmorning. Had several cups of coffee and another latte before lunch. A crab, avocado and bacon sandwich for lunch and I'm currently nibbling the remains of an awesome homemade kung pao shrimp.

1 big cup of coffee
1 Egg McMuffin with hashbrowns
4 sour gummi worms (lunch)
1 can of Chef Boyardee Mini Ravioli (dinner)
1 big orange

and

2 cups of chamomile tea to calm my nerves

101. Yes. I am food-paranoid lately. Here's mine:
My new meds are wreaking havoc with my weight, to I've been paying a lot (too much?) attention to what I eat. It's normally pretty healthy, but today I've fallen off the wagon:

breakfast:
banana, an apple cereal bar, 1 cup of coffee

lunch:
grilled reuben sandwich and fries, iced tea

dinner:
6" turkey sub, baked potato chips, carbonated water

evening snack:
almonds, 16 oz. mango/orange juice smoothie, carrot sticks

I also take lithium, which makes you thirsty, so I usually drink 2-3 liters of water a day on top of that.
