To end the toilet seat up or down wars,a local dj suggests urinals in the bathroom.
Is it really that much of a problem?

1. Come on, guys. Just show a little consideration.
Wipe the splatters off the rim and close the seat. It takes 5 seconds.

2. The seat AND the lid stay down unless the toilet is in use.
Then everybody's happy.

12. That's my vote...
Perhaps it's a manifestation of OCD, but I can't stand to have the toilets in my house with the lids up when not in use. They HAVE to be closed. And it's an all-men household, for that matter...

8. Sink, flvegan, not tub.
Easier to clean the sink.

4. I've thought about this too much, and I've concluded that there is
a slightly higher probability that the person who comes to the batroom after you will need the seat down than up, so it's only courteous to put it in that position. (Assuming a shared bathroom and equal man/woman visits)...

7. Women knowledgeable on the subject have informed me...
That women tend to leave "splatter" on the seat far more often than men, all things considered.

For quite a while this baffled me, but I think I now comprehend.

Regardless--men should lift the seat when they pee and then lower it again when they're done. Anything else is simply discourteous.

Of course, he is a second-generation plumber, and might actually have gone through with it. Fortunately, the Minister for War and Finance put her foot down.
