I just discovered a ton of money in my house!

I was doing a google image search for something completely unrelated, and saw a picture of a toy car that I know I still have in a box. The description of the car had "$75" in it, so I clicked, and found this page. :wow:

I've got a ton of these "Johnny Lightning" die cast cars, most in excellent condition. If I could get 1/2 of the listed prices on this page, I've probably got a couple grand in little toy cars!

This one, which I have, is listed at $275! :rofl:

You made me go check my Matchbox Lesney cars from the late '60s and early '70s but alas, my oldest is only worth about $20. Still, this is why I don't mind my kid collecting hundreds upon hundreds of Matchbox and Johnny Lightning and Hot Wheels cars--someday...!

Probably not, but if so, you could double your money! :wow:

But lots of Johnny Lightning, Matchbox, and Hot Wheels. I checked on ebay a few years ago for Matchbox prices, but evidently they aren't in as high of demand as the JL's. This just really blows my mind.

If only my kid now took as good of care of his toys as I did mine... :eyes:
