I still get calls on my cell while driving complimenting me on
my IMPEACH CHENEY FIRST bumper sticker (and several others). I was driving in heavy traffic late yesterday when a woman following my car phoned me- all she wanted to say was she appreciated what I was saying and she agreed with the political view I was displaying for all to see. The conversation lasted all of ten seconds, but it made me feel good for hours. (She was driving a large SUV-style truck, BTW. I'll bet it takes a hundred bucks to fill her tank up...)
This is in TEXAS.
(My cell phone number is prominently displayed on my magnetic business signs on the back and sides of my car.)
Anyone else still get thumbs up from people while driving in hardcore red parts of the country?
2. I've actually gotten new clients because of those bumper stickers.
I never START the conversation, but if, during the course of our interviews THEY mention politics, I let the cards fall as they will. I've NEVER been dismissed from a job (either residential or business) because of it.
