2012?? What are your thoughts?
Is the end coming? If so, what are you doing to prepare?

1. End of what? A congressional term?
Oh, you mean apocalyptic nonsense. Nevermind.

Crazy stuff goes in the Astrology group. Unless you think a conspiracy will kill us all, then it goes in 9/11.

17. Though technically, the OP doesn't mention the world, and a new cycle implies
the end of the old cycle :)

23. Yeah. This is nothing more than Y2K redux.
The Mayans probably would have celebrated this the same way we celebrated new years eight years ago.

The only thing certain about the year 2012 is the fact that the logo for that year's Olympics look like something that crawled out of the year 1986 and died.

12. Of course the world will end on December 21, 2012
Just like the Bible is the literal word of God containing literal historical accounts.
Just like how the Bible is wrong and the Qur'an is actually the literal word of God containing literal historical accounts.
Just like both the Bible and Qur'an are wrong and the Book of Mormon is actually the literal word of God containing literal historical accounts.
Just like how the Bible, Qur'an, and Book of Mormon are wrong and vague Mayan writings accurately predict the future.
Just like how the Bible, Qur'an, Book of Mormon, and vague Mayan writings are wrong and a L. Ron Hubbard got it right.

15. My psychic investigation led me to believe that 2012
will occur sometime between 2011 and 2013.

Keep it to yourself, though. Don't want that gemstone of info going public.

16. It's an interesting idea.
No, it's not the TEOTWAWKI, and it's not the New Age Rapture. It is, however, an interesting metaphor for the forces of change. I think we all of us feel that the world is moving faster and faster. We are also facing the onset of climate change and the very real coming petroleum shortage which is the basis of all of our daily lives, here in the west. I think that 2012 is a message to us that we need to address these issues, or they will address us.

19. Interesting.
The world certainly isn't going to end in 2012. But I have heard Hare Krishnas talk about some big war that is supposed to be coming. Not too hard to believe, what with the state of the world now, but I have heard the year 2012 mentioned as the predicted date for some big catastrophe. I'm not making any plans though, not all predictions come to pass, and anyway what will be will be.

It's seems more of a change than anything, if i read him right? :)

I'm hopeful for the future, thinking the shits (leaders, or whatever they are) on the planet won't kill us all.

I read Archaic Revival from time to time. He mentions quite a bit of this.
