1. Welles is great in just about anything he did.
But I passed when I saw "BASED ON a play by William Shakespeare". BASED ON?

I couldn't hear/understand much of the dialog .. but I was very tired and maybe I'll give it another try another time, I generally like Orson Wells work and it looked interesting and almost held me but last night was just not the night to try it I guess.

2. 1971 version directed by Roman Polanski is probably the best version.
Not 100% faithful to the text, but quite good.

3. There's pro and con for the Polanski version. Pro: Francesca Annis naked.
Con: The witches naked. Ugh!
