Really, it seems like it has been on forever.

1. I watched it once.
Once.

I vaguely remember bad guys on jetskis.

And then the ship hit an iceberg and sank.

I think.

4. I think the ship was navy ship of some kind.
Now the hero is going back to sea after finally finding dry land.

What the hell is he thinking.

Dry land, food, lots of nice fresh drinking water.

aka eternity.

In reality, I actually liked that movie. I was one of about five people worldwide, who actually liked it, but my God, it IS a LONG movie. :eyes:

7. Only two hours and sixteen minutes.
I thought it was more like 3 hours.

The movie wasn't bad.

What were the people using for drinking water on the ocean, they had to have some water.

It might our future.

I thought the flooded cities were cool, that guy had some lungs.

8. I watched it because my remote control is broken.
To change the channel I would have walk across the room and change it myself.

Yeah, I am lazy.

18. He was just upset because his character was scientifically improbable.
Evolution that would result in a human growing gills and webbed feet would take likely take thousands, if not millions of years and require a geographically isolated community diverse enough to prevent genetic degradation from inbreeding. Since people are still smoking cigarettes and using gasoline (that they somehow refined from a limited supply of crude oil), the chances that more than a couple hundred years had passed is highly unlikely.

That and the fact that he can withstand the pressure of depths of at least 20,000 feet...

I'd be upset too.

Then again, maybe he simply had to assert his masculinity by oppressing women.

20. I actually LIKED it too. Had an old Waterworld VCR tape & THAT was a lifesaver last summer!
I've got a bunch of old tapes, most only watched once. Last summer my great-nephew Age 14 and great-niece Age 10 were up visiting. Since I only have basic cable, not much to watch. Nephew especially was sneering at everything. Their grandma rents every latest movie known to mankind. Pulled out WaterWorld and WHEW, they were BOTH entranced. Had NEVER seen it.

Also pulled out another oldie from my long dead friend's collection, "Stargate". Unbelievable, who would have guessed there's some kind of video game of Stargate? Kid never knew there had ever been a movie (long before he was born) - he even wanted to take it home to show all his friends. Let the niece take the copy of "Where the Red Fern Grows" and she was a happy camper.

Yep, Ol' Phart Aunt Bisc scored some points last summer!
