2. I don't think it's just you, Murdock.
I feel that we are on the edge, and teetering over.

And I really don't want to see that happen.

3. Me either..
Today's newspaper had page after page after page of foreclosures.. and I've never seen DU filled with so much hate and vitriol as it is now. People seem to have such a short fuse, anger everywhere..

4. Exactly.
And I think that a lot of it is that so many people are totally fed up with Bushco, and are looking for the best way out; thus the poo flinging in GD-P.

I am seriously thinking of moving to Canada if McCrazy gets elected instead of Hil or Barack.

I don't know how much more I can take.

8. I think what you're seeing on DU is a reaction to fear
Anyone with half a brain in their head is scared shitless about right now and it makes people cranky. Unfortunately that tends to make matters worse but I think we're in for a long bumpy ride. I wish I believed in god so I could believe that something might save us or that there's something nice that comes at the end of it all but I fear that this is it and we're blowing it big time.

Kind of personal this time around.

7. Wrote this about a month ago,
in air, heading to FL to visit folks:

I am truly concerned about the POLITICAL state of our union; I fear that human nature may just doom this ‘experiment.’ Will check Founders to see if/what they thought possible and/or likely.

Similarly, as I’ve thought for a long time, the human race itself may just cause its end; what that will mean for the planet I don’t know. Which are the longest lived ‘beings,’ plant or animal? Cockroaches? Some/which single-celled creatures? Might they endure, and begin the process again, or is it more likely that a new type of being would ‘spring up?’

Would help to be a scientist to develop ‘concrete’ hypothesis, but I’m not. So, I’ll think about the situation, including our political model.

Is human nature such that our need to ‘survive’ actually precludes ‘good guys’ from prevailing, world-wide? Is this in fact the logical result of ‘survival of the fittest?’ I wonder what Wes thinks about this.

Those who call themselves very religious in fact appear to me to be among the most likely to cause the harms I’m thinking of; have to check Dr. Lakoff and John Dean about this.

It really will and know that DU is only a tiny microcosm in this whole political scene.

It isn't what's really going on in the real world. The voters aren't all on DU or DKOS.

They're at work or watching American Idol or taking care of their families, while GD-P implodes.

Many of them don't even know DU exists. Fret not. It will all work out. I have faith.

Keep your chin up. Today Mississippi has their primary. It's almost over. Hang on!

Mississippi Democrats' enthusiasm high

Campaign harkens to spirit of '76

What did these three things have in common in 1976: gasoline prices, recession fears and the Mississippi Democratic Party?
