6. Actually, yes it does
"High Fashion" is no different than "high art", it just uses the body as the canvas. I'll never understand how/why that's difficult for people to understand. :shrug:

7. Because "high art" is a meaningless designator

Meant largely to validate incomprehensibility and to place it on a pedestal where it can be praised for its "genius" rather than mocked for its foolishness.

The term "High fashion" serves a similar function.

I doubt we were expected to buy it, but we have all looked and commented. That probably makes it more successful than most of the things that walked down the runway. Perhaps that was the intention.

As far as I can tell, if you cut a bigger face hole, it's not that different from hoodies in the shops now. Someone (mistakenly) thought I would buy those. Fashion is all about the hits and misses.
