How many hours straight can you work before you crash?
I worked a double yesterday and was here at 8 a.m. today. Between that and the time change, I'm zonked.

How hard can, do you push yourself?

3. Eight hours is enough for me.
I could barely work a twelve hour shift one time. I felt like I was going to die.

27. It was military; ergo it was insane.
Sending a bomber wing with support units (900 plus people) from the states to the western Pacific to show fang and claw at some bad guys. We had 48 hours to lock and load, ie updating records, cutting orders (long before word processing), etc. When the paperwork finally outweighed the aircraft, we were allowed to throw up, then hit the rack.

11. Close to 50 hours straight once, over 40 straight several times...
over 20 hours straight uncountable times.

Deadline work. Horrible life altering stress.

I've posted about this before...this type of shit went on for me for a few years. I took good care of my employer, but it fucked me up permanently.

It was an organized bicycle ride called the CA Death Ride: 129 miles, 5 mtn passes w/ 15,000 ft of climbing....all in ONE DAY!!

Total time: 15 hrs 40 min.

Total saddle time: over 12 hrs.

Whew! I can and have definitely push myself hard. :D

22. Hrm... around 14 easily if I have time to recoup later, 18 once in a while.
I'm lucky to not generally need to work those kind of hours. There was a while where I was working full-time with an hour commute and going to school for 3-4 hours at night, I didn't enjoy that... I'd come home from school and spend two hours after that doing homework, because there was no other time to do it before class the next day, so those were easily 6:30a.m.-midnight or 1 kind of days.

I think the longest I've ever been awake was about 36 hours, luckily. I can't imagine you guys who've stayed awake for 50+ hours, omg. :scared:

And in the 70s on numerous occasions. But by then I start hallucinating.

24. Depends on what the work is...
Work for my job? After about 10 hours, I'm slipping into a coma.

But knitting/crafting, or studying for school? I can do that for nearly round the clock before I start to zonk out.

That's what I get when I work the weekend, was the manager on shift, and had people call in on two different shifts. Fucking sucked.

Not eager to repeat that. I sleep every night now, even if it's just for an hour.

32. Shoveling snow - exactly 5.75 hours non-stop (no pee breaks even) my body simply gave out and said
"nope nope nope not one more shovel full"

I jammed the shovel in the drift blocking Grandpa's driveway, went inside, took a super hot shower, took 3 Ibuprofen, and told hubby when he got home from work it was his turn
