Maniac at the car wash today. *A Rant*

So, I went to the car wash today; it's one of those kind that a conveyor system pulls you through the car wash.

There were some instructions about putting your car in neutral, so I do that and turn off the engine so I can be pulled through, right?

I do as the sign says, and am going through the wash just fine. So I get to the end and the light turns green and so I go to get my keys out of my purse. As I'm doing this, I notice that the car behind me is inching up and there is some kind of enraged maniac in it. I start franticly looking for my keys and every time I look up at one of the mirrors, all I can see is this face twisted in rage with one of those veins popping out of the forehead and everything.

Next thing I know, their car is BUMPING into mine! Don't people know how to use a friggin' brake? I think the attendant had run off to call 911 to get some help dealing with the maniac in the car behind me!

Finally, despite my panic, I manage to find my keys and start my car and move forward so the freak-job's car was not longer HITTING my car. I decided to call 911 myself, so I blocked the crazy person in the car wash and started looking for my cell phone in my purse. I pretended to be checking my hair so they wouldn't notice. Finally, they started cursing at me and I began to fear for my life. Seeing no one to help, I drove off.

Just a word of warning: there are some DANGEROUS psychos out there. You never know when you'll encounter one!

I would have gotten the license plate number of the car behind me and stayed at a safe distance until the police showed up. People like that need to have their keys thrown to the bottom of a river. Not only is it unsafe to do such things (like bumping another persons car? WTF?) You also could have sustained damage to your own vehicle in the process. I would check your car on the underside of the bumper. I only say this because I had a "gentlemen" and I use the term lightly, do the same thing to me at a stop light when I was broken down and my bumper was damaged without me being aware of it. It cost me plenty down the road. Why are people so dang angry? Anyway, I am glad you are ok and be careful! :-)
