it feels incredibly wrong to be home at 3:30 p.m. on a wednesday
i have been more or less steadily employed since i was 15 (the longest i went without a job was three months after i graduated college), so this unemployment thing is so foreign to me.

i just can't get my head wrapped around this yet

1. I know unsolicited advice is about as popular as cholera
But try freelancing from home for a while. There are a lot of websites particular to various skills. I like guru.com though it's kind of tech-centric (which is good for me since I'm a programmer and UNIX admin).

You may find being at home at 3:30 pm on a Wednesday, and generally owning your own time, starts to feel natural :)

And whatever you choose, I do hope things look up.
