Poll question: Now why wouldn't you change the muffler bearings at the same time as you rotate the air...
Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 06:15 PM by texas1928
In your tires...

It makes perfect sense, you are already down there, and when you are at the back tire you can get to them pretty easy.
So it makes sense to remind people in the rotate the air in your tires thread. Am I right?

So do you do it at the same time?

4. Like I said:
This is an option only for people who own cars with Rogenschutzer™ bearing races, because most of us aren't welders.

And, even if we are, we might not have a flux-cored MIG-25 gun or a Fennheiser tip, which are necessary for the semi-helical Rogenschutzers™.

you can get a flux-cored MIG-25 gun or a Fennheiser tip, which are necessary for the semi-helical Rogenschutzers™.
At the local True Value, just tell them John Madden wanted you to see the special*wink* tools, and the wink has to be with the left eye. If you do it with the right one, they try to sell you flange-kravitz.

5. But to answer you're question, where's 'Other'?
I lube the muffler bearings every time I rotate hubcaps.
LITHIUM ONLY!

I change the bearings every leap year.
This is tried and true.

8. There you go...
I bet you are the only one who votes on that one.

Cause I don't rotate my hubcaps, I just replace them. It is easier, and does not require as much prying as rotating them.

15. Why do you bother?
Since nobody here in Orange County ever intentionally uses their blinkers, the original fluid easily lasts for the life of the car. Honestly, it's like digging up your ancestors to replace the brasswork on their coffins. Who's ever going to know? Sheesh!

18. Same time...
as the muffler bearings and as long as I have my bearing tools out I change the scroll bearings in my monitors as well. Far too many otherwise perfectly good monitors end up in the landfill for want of timely scroll bearing replacement.

They just refill the letter reserves. I know it is the space consuming way but there is one font I love that they have and the ink versions don't carry it.
