1. Heh, I hooked up my old NES not that long ago...

still works too! Though you still have to mess with the cartridges to get it to work. Ah, the good ol' days.

C64 was so awesome. I was really young but i watched my big brother do everything on it, and eventually learned how to type LOAD "*" ,8,1

anybody remember the big Summer/Winter games tournaments? Where you'd have like 6 people playing the events and it would take like 5 minutes to load each event? ugh

8. About a year or so ago a tribute book to 8-bit games was put out.

I don't remember the title, although some of it was really good.

9. I went to an 8-Bit concert last week.

Some Chip-Hop, some straight up chip tune artists, old retro 8-bit arcade games (the original arcade units) and 6 multi-game arcade controllers hooked up to wall size (around 30ft by 30ft) display projectors.

And beers on tap.

It fucking rocked.
