I had a mojito and a screwdriver tonight
so far.....no rash....still afraid of beer, but I"ll work on that :woohoo:

2. me too!
I much prefer beer to mixed drinks.....the mojito was good, a little sweet, but yummy.....and its good to know I can drink without dying.....tonight was kind of a practice night....lol

I have a friend who's allergic to something in beer (not gluten - something to do with the yeast, I think). He got horribly sick when he first tried to drink as a teenager and thought he couldn't have any alcohol. It turns out that it was just beer that he couldn't have, and now he can drink anything but beer - which he can't even have a drop of - but he didn't find this out until his mid-20's.

Maybe your post had nothing to do with this though. Either way, I was glad to provide useless information.

6. I had a severe allergic reaction to deoderant
first we thought it was meds, then food......it was bad.....anyway I had beer twice and it aggravated an already bad situatuation......so I don't know if now that I"m well I can drink it..... I'm gonna give my body some more time to recupe.......thanks for the info
