But, in my life the occasions that seemed the most tragic when they occurred turned out to be great opportunities. The job that I really wanted and was passed over for, motivated me to start my own business and retire at 42. What I thought was the love of my life dumped me, initiating the events that lead to the most wonderful woman that I've been with the last 18 years.

As awful as those events seemed at the time, I wouldn't trade them for anything.
