Bummer--everyone's sold out of corned beef
Man, I was so counting on having corned beef & cabbage for dinner. And I'm not even Irish. But every store in the area is sold out of corned beef this year. What's up with that?

4. I just got some yesterday at 99 cents a pound...
Edited on Mon Mar-17-08 02:22 PM by TreasonousBastard
pretty much the going price for the thick stuff. 2 bucks for thick cut. I'll find out later if there's any more around today on the last day of the sale.

Let it sit in the crockpot for a few hours simmering in peppercorns and beer and it is the BEST sandwich meat.

Cabbages are on sale for 9 cents a pound, and I made tons of cole slaw. Mango slaw is da bomb, I tells ya.
