"Cats. The other white meat!"
  My dogs came up with that one. :P One of the neighborhood thugs...uh....cats decided it was a good idea to climb one of our trees yesterday afternoon so it could get closer to our bird feeder. Vicki the Dog, ever-vigilant against evil squirrels and cats, ran out and started screambarking at the treed cat. The cat couldn't jump into the yard, lest it be ripped to pieces, so it stayed in the tree looking for a way out. Our other dog Casey joined in the fun, and both hounds gave the cat hell from the ground. After about 20 minutes, the cat managed to jump down on the other side of the fence and ran away. Both dogs pranced in the yard for quite a while, very pleased with themselves.

(P. S. I had tried to coax the cat down, but you know how that goes....:yoiks:)

3. I'll send my sister to deal with those dogs.
She knows how to do it. One time a friend of her husband's came over to their with his dog, a Rottweiler mix. My sister had never liked that dog, and had told this guy not to bring him because she has horses, dogs and cats, and didn't want this dog bothering them. The guy kept the dog in his truck, but this time he left the window down. The dog spotted my sister's cat, Hendrix, and jumped out the window after him. Hendrix wasn't quite quick enough to get away, and the dog grabbed him. My sister, watching from their screened-in porch, rushed outside, tackled the dog, and got him in a choke hold. She held on unitl the dog let go of Hendrix. She then told the dog's owner, "If you bring this dog over here again, I'm going to shoot it. And if you take it home, I'll come over to your house and shoot it." Needless to say, that's the last we've seen of that dog. I would have paid money to see that!
