Canadian geese population explosion. Those border collies sure know their job though. I do understand but it has been a tradition for generations.

That is all

2. Border collies love their jobs
Mine would probably love to herd away geese all day.

4. I wish I'd had some border collies a few years ago
I once lived in an apartment that faced a retention pond much loved by Canada geese. People loved to come out and feed them -- "oh, isn't that cute, take another picture of a goose eating bread from little Susie's hand" -- but then they'd go home and we were left to cope with the fallout -- literally -- the sidewalks coated with droppings, the noise, and this -- my favorite -- being chased off your patio by a fiercely protective mother goose whose goslings had decided to hang out there.

Those things are a major nusiance. I would politely ask people not to feed them, citing the reasons above, but more often than not they would ignore me or accuse me of spoiling their fun.

I was happy to move.:eyes:

5. We had a friend whose farm pond had been taken over by Canada geese.
He put the two ducks he'd gotten for his grand daughter onto the pond and the geese all left.

6. That reminds me
I have a friend whose sister-in-law was a VP at a major national company. A few years ago, the headquarters had a Canada goose who decided to raise her brood near the main entrance. Everyone thought it was adorable, including the SIL. Until the morning the goose attacked and snagged the SIL's fancy stockings (that she purchased in London). The goose and her nest was gone within an hour.
