7. I saw the episode last night. I generally like the series, but I was a little

confused about the whole honor killing thing. I didn't think it was an Indian custom. I thought it was primarily an Arabic perversion of Koranic teachings. I'm glad to know the truth of it from you, lioness. I definitely think you should write a letter to the producers of the show asking them to air a retraction regarding the episode.

Generally, I think the show is pretty good, but I started having trouble with their historical research from the very first episode. It portrayed the Manhattan indians as living in tepees. They didn't. They lived in lodges and wooden longhouses like most of the other New England and Mid-Atlantic tribes. Tepees were the portable dwellings of the nomadic Plains Indian tribes.

Anyway, lioness, please let them know that they are portraying inaccuracies about your culture. Let's make for better television.
