But I think emulating that kind of behavior is not going to solve that kind of behavior. The best two options there are either A) Call that person out in that thread, or B) Ignore it encourage others to do the same so it just sinks to the bottom of the pile. Starting a whole new thread complaining and casting asparagus about a thread wherein someone was complaining and casting asparagus is just turning a little pile of crap into two little piles of crap. And if we get too much of that going around, everyone's going to be knee-deep in crap.

I could hide or ignore any threads or posters. I'm fully capable and unquestioningly competent.

Much as I might like, it isn't about always all about me. It's about the community. I don't feel a lot of pouting and petty vengeance is a constructive contribution. It certainly isn't humour and it isn't lightening the mood. It also isn't making anybody's point in the recent kerfluffle.

My recourses are pretty simple. I can ignore it all and put my head in the sand or I can speak out. I'm chosing to speak out here and in other threads. Call it a kind of peer review.

Might I ask the same question of you? What exactly is YOUR dog in this hunt? What are you contributing to the general peace and everyone's sense of well being?
