Is it just me, or is the hostility in GDP spreading?

And I'm not really talking about the Lounge, but other forums. People seem to be very snarky/grouchy. I ask because I have observed one of my DU friends (I'm not gonna name the person though) intelligence attacked for merely disagreeing with other posters. Sounds normal? Well I regard this person as without a doubt the smartest person on this board. And perhaps the nicest and most polite person. But even he got snarky and frustrated with the nonsense. Has anyone noticed this in any of the other forums besides GDP/GD? (one of the forums was the science forum, not really known for this kind of thing):shrug:
