First ever size 16 girl reaches Miss England final

Chloe Marshall doesn't look like your average beauty queen. And she couldn't be happier about it.

The trainee beautician has become the first size 16 to make it to the finals of the Miss England contest.

Yesterday the 16-year-old beat a host of slimmer hopefuls to be named Miss Surrey, and hopes to win the national competition in July.



Chloe, from Guildford, is 12st 8lb, 5ft 10in tall and has a 38DD bust. But although she is the average size for a woman, in the age of the size zero model she stands out.

What a stunning young lady! She has a contagious smile, and looks like she'd be a lot of fun to hang out with. 12st 8lb works out to 176lb American, which is not all that overweight at 5'10".

If I were a guy, I'd much rather get a date with her than Paris Hilton. Chloe looks like she might actually eat once in a while, and wouldn't accidentally unman you with a razor-sharp hip bone.

Most model-types are UNDERWEIGHT, and I wish to hell they'd start sending some other real women down the runway (and yes, I know some women are very slim naturally, and are perfectly healthy, but...). 12s, 18s, 22s and everything in between...you show me a designer who can make clothes that look good on women who AREN'T size 2 and that designer would probably make a fortune.

though i sadly doubt they will. I'm 5'7 and wear a size 8. while i know i am not "thin" by today's standard of what "thin" is, i know that i am not "fat," but that thought is put into the heads of young gals like myself. we are made to feel bad about ourselves(when we honestly have a healthy weight and size) compared to the stick thin women we see on tv and in magazines. it is a shame and it is sickening that our society and pop culture put that pressure on young gals. then the pop culture fascinated media that we have turns around and attacks the young women in hollywood who have eating disorders that they helped create.

as for chloe.. you go girl!
