MFers broke out another window
So I'm leaving the house just a few minutes ago and as I'm walking off of the front porch towards the car I notice that the sliding glass door is busted -- shattered. In January, someone threw a rock and broke one of the living room windows. Three years ago, someone shot the large casement window in the front of the house with a pellet gun.

Now this...
and I was on my way to a meeting that I'll have to miss to take care of this.

4. I have no freaking clue.
I wish I could just park myself on the front porch 24/7 and dare the asshole who's doing this to try it in front of me.

8. At one time we did think about that...
A few years ago there were some flagrant, middle of the day break ins around the neighborhood and we toyed with the idea of putting a security camera in the back of the house (someone tried to get into the basement about 10 years ago) -- we weren't worried about the front of the house then.

2. Oh no.
Are you being targeted, any idea? Or is it random bored asshole kids?

3. I've tried not to think we're being targeted
Maybe we are. This seems like the same person/s. I've found evidence of a couple of small rocks around the front porch area. Someone with a decent arm could easily stand at the street or at the front of the drive way and break out the living room windows. I like to catch the assholes who are doing this. The last time we didn't make an insurance claim - just paid out of pocket and it didn't cost that much. But this time it's the whole door. Shit like this pisses me off to no end. I feel totally violated.

6. Have you called the police each time?
It sounds like someone is out to get you.

Do you have political signs showing on or near your house?

9. Yep. Every time.
They're quite familiar with our address. LOL My old car had a bunch of bumper stickers on it but it's parked next door at my partner's mom's house that is now vacant. We don't have anything on the new car or in the yard (except an ADT sign).

14. It's just so bizarre! We mind our own business
don't do a thing to anyone. We have some fantastic neighbors-- "family" gals. We joke around that with the three of us on this end of the street, it's becoming a lesbian coven. There's a beautiful park not far from the house and our neighborhood gets a lot of traffic from people going to and from that area. Lots of kids and teens on foot. I don't know who we've pissed off or why. I'm getting pretty sick of this shit.

15. I don't blame you for feeling violated
Is it happening to anyone else on the block or are you being singled out? I'm sorry this is happening to you and I hope that the police take it seriously when you call them.

I'll talk to our good friend across the street this weekend and see if she saw anything early this morning.

18. Have you thought about holding a neighborhood meeting?
Maybe have a 'block party'? Or pass out fliers to the neighbors

and tell them what's been going on?

Maybe you can organize a neighborhood watch?

Yes, time to call the cops, I think...

Security cameras aren't a bad idea either...

I am so sorry, sweetie...

20. I'm always amazed that some people
just don't seem to see a problem with inflicting casual destruction upon other people's property. :wft:

You have to wonder how little empathy people have. :(

21. Especially when they do it more than once.
I mean, really. We've decided to install outdoor security cameras. Since whoever is doing this gets his little wee-wee off destroying our property and has made it clear that he won't quit.

We'll figure out who's been doing this.
