I had a bit of a chat with John Lithgow...
this afternoon at the meat counter at Fairway. He's taller than I expected and very sweet. Just nice and rather unassuming.

4. That's really cool
Did you ask him any questions about his roles, methods, etc...?

I would probably have been too tongue-tied to say anything intelligent.

He has done some very good work. My favorites of his would probably be "World According to Garp," "Raising Cain," "Twighlight Zone: The Movie."

Thanks for sharing this.

7. He was asking me if he needed to take a number.
I don't necessarily comment on height but he's quite tall. Tom Brokaw, OTOH, is shorter than I thought he would be.

5. Hi Cassandra!
:hi:

I haven't seen you in far, far too long! I was mentioning that to Infomaniac recently. How are you doing?

We need to plan something to get together and hang out.

9. Did she tell you she had me walking for 7 miles...
last Sunday? I'm still amazed I finished. I think she said something about us all getting together sometime but I'm not sure when.

11. She said she was going to try to kill you.
:P

Kidding! :7

She did mention something about a very long walk in Central Park or somewhere. I hope it was fun.

6. I've always liked him; he and Jane Curtain on Third Rock were
hilarious... he has just always come across as a very good natured person.

So - what did you talk about? Meat? Politics? Weather? Easter?

8. My most spectacular sighting...
I was vacationing with a friend in Providence, RI in the late 70's, and we were walking a very long way to the house where we were staying. It was hot and my bag was heavy so I put it down to rest. As I straightened up I found myself standing right in front of Elizabeth Taylor, all violet eyes and turban. She looked at me like I was a sweaty bug, then stepped around me and kept going.

13. He was wearing a floppy sort of beret.
I didn't hang out long enough to see what he was buying.
