I saw Maichael Clayton, but that's it. I am going to the video store soon.

1. No Country and Atonement were good films.
Javier Bardem was awesome. Were it not for him, I think Tom Wilkinson in Michael Clayton would have been a sure bet to win the Oscar, but Bardem was absolutely creepy.

Atonement had a sort of slow start, but got good, and McAvoy was great in it.

2. How about the best 19 movies you didn't see in 2007?

5. Pretty good list
I liked Gone Baby Gone and The Lookout a lot. Grindhouse goes in the "Guilty Pleasure" category for me. I would also put "Shoot 'Em Up" in that group, and I haven't seen it on any list, but I liked it more than Grindhouse.

4. Juno ....
Not all of these had nominations, but I still liked them.

Dark, but still good
No Country For Old Men
In the Valley of Elah
Gone Baby Gone

Raunchy, but still good
Knocked Up
Superbad
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

Like nothing you've even seen, don't read the reviews, etc.
Lars and the Real Girl (quirky, you'll love it or hate it)

6. Just watched Death at a Funeral last night, very funny black comedy. I would recommend it to all who
enjoy that genre of film.
