As far as spreading the word, their best bet is to just book as many shows as they possibly can, preferrably if they can hook up with a band that already has a half-way decent following. Then, just kinda get in everybody's face about it.. go to the clubs and hand out flyers, tell all your internet friends (like you've been doing), etc..

1. It's visually soothing.
2. My page doesn't really have anything worth reading on it. I like the fact that someone out there is going to put in extra time and effort just to read something that will ultimately disappoint them. That makes me the winner!

I've had the same experience. I've found that block works well... until they start a new profile. Then you just have to change your privacy settings.

I think the pic is a brilliant example of the romanticizing and idealization of misogyny and domestic abuse in society. Just look at the smug look of satisfaction on the man's face as he "puts the woman in her place". Look at the expression of near sexual enjoyment on the woman's face. I take the picture to be an unintentional spoof on antiquated ideas, but YMMV.

it's not uncommon on MySace to see pics like that and the kid's site says "Ain't it funny how he beat the shit out of that bitch?!?!? LOL"
