Florida DUers...
Do you have lemon trees down there? When I think of lemon trees I usually think of California, but you guys grow citrus, right?

My brother lives in FL and he's coming up here this spring. I need some lemon leaves to make dried arrangements, so if there are lemon trees there I'm going to talk him into bringing some up with him.

1. Plenty of lemons in Florida.
When I was a kid, we had orange, lemon and avocado trees in the back yard.

8. But it hasn't been so easy to make lemonade, with a Bush in power.

3. Florida has been known to have some citrus, yes.
Oranges, grapefruit, pomelo, tangerine, lemon, lime, tangelo...

He'll probably have to make a few calls or visit his farmers market to track down some leaves.

4. Thanks, all!
I know he'll do his best to get them for me. Lemon leaves are incredibly expensive in the craft stores around here. This is great news!

6. Not only do I have a lemon tree in my backyard, I have a Meyer Lemon tree.
I really need to go strip the fruit off because it's in full bloom now and we got so many lemons this year I've juiced about all I can fit in our freezer and the excess is starting to fall and rott on the ground.

I have tons of branches loaded with leaves and flowers I need to trim off my tree. PM me and we'll see if he is anywhere near me or if I am on the way.
