5. I had two very close friends

One passed away 5 years ago, the other would have been better passing away, because she chose the fundie route instead and I had to let her go.

Right now, I have some friends with whom I am not all that close.

I suppose I could consider my SIL a "best" friend because we talk quite a bit, but it's difficult to share some things with her, and she can be unpredictable at times.

Another friend, Steve, is also around, but he has his own life and I don't like to talk with him about some things, because once upon a time we were lovers, and I can't discuss that kind of stuff with him.

And Mr. MG, and a few friends. I had a best friend for 30 years (since we were 11!), but we've parted ways recently. :shrug:

I try to spread the "best friend"-ness around. I don't like relying on just one person anymore.
