Most fun you ever had at a concert?
For me, it was a couple months ago, seeing "Herman's Hermits."

Signing along, clapping, my sister and I had a blast!

1. The time we took my 4 year old son
to the Seattle Symphony.

We could do that then. Now kids have to be older. I wonder why?

2. Probably the firsst time I saw Protest the Hero play at a small bar here.
The place was only half full but it was a blast. Bigger shows actually take away from the fun for me because you just end up getting crushed by the crowd. (E.g. th second time I saw them play.)

Lots of really fun local shows, too. We have a fun local scene here.

3. Trans Siberian Orchestra
last dec. The story the did during the first half was very moving. The second half of the show was a big jam session. It was loud and awesome.

5. The Cult, Sonic Temple tour. Orlando, FL
We had followed the tour bus from Tampa the night before (yeah, I did it for a girl). Our car got in past security, as they assumed we were together. We hung out with the band that night and Matt Sorum, the drummer, hooked us up with tix and backstage passes for the concert the next night in Orlando. Great seats, vip passes to hang out after the show. Damn good time.

7. The least amount of fun
...I ever had at a concert was while on vacation in San Francisco, at a hip-hop show my first night in the city. I went in, ordered a beer, and was enjoying the music when someone crashed into my lower legs from behind. The guy bowled me over, beer flying into my face, and I landed on top of him on my back.

Thought I was an unwilling participant in an old-fashioned bar fight at first...until I realized the guy who knocked me down was lying there making a weird gurgling sound and trying to breathe, because I had knocked the wind out of him when I landed on him.

He wasn't attacking me, he was just fall-down drunk and I happened to be in his path when he took the fall. I actually helped him to his feet and then watched him stagger off into the crowd, probably on his way to accidentally knock someone else down or maybe vomit on someones shoes.

8. Three nights of the Grateful Dead in Long Beach
Tripping, grooving, and dancing. That was not only the best time at a concert, it was the best time of my life.

12. Coachella '07
My bro and I had gone for the sole purpose of seeing the Rage Against The Machine reunion show and wound up going all 3 days. Met up with a group of people, saw some awesome bands (including Decemberists, Arcade Fire, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Peeping Tom, Gogol Bordello, Interpol, Rage, Manu Chao, the Roots, Willie Nelson and Explosions In The Sky), got really hammered and had a blast.
