Last night I had something very exotic for dinner
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 04:22 PM by geardaddy
Grass-fed meatloaf with dijon mustard gravy, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots & parsnips.

Hmmmm....

I wonder how they either farm, capture, or hunt meatloaves.

1. I heard that meatloafs were carnivores.
Learn something new every day.

4. But I don't see any bloody legs!
I'd think a tasty looking meatloaf like that would have MANY natural predators. Do they have any defenses? Like mad burrowing skills or ill tempered parasites that would destroy a city?

8. They're like hippos
MASSIVE and with hides like steel.

All their predators went extinct at the end of the ice age. It's true; I saw it on Animal Planet. :)

9. But hippos are ferocious, that's why they have minimal predators.
Or something. Are wild meatloafs also ferocious, responsible for more human deaths in Africa than the lion?

10. I think that meatloaves
are quite timid and breed prodigiously. Thus the inexpensive price for their flesh.

sans fur, ears, limbs, bones, and organs. They're more like amoebas.

5. If the meat hadn't loafed nobody would have been able to catch it
let alone eat it.

16. Shouldn't be that difficult to hunt
I hear he's lost some weight, but a hunter should still be able to run him down in open country pretty easily... :-)

But I'm not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent, at this juncture.....

18. "meatloaf" is just a euphemism
for guinea pig.

Note the similarity in shape:

Shave it, tuck the legs under, top with tomato paste... voila!

And, was it any good?

We had it at "Level 5" at the new Guthrie theater. It was quite good and the mashed potatoes were fantastic!
