Ladies and Gentlemen....BEEFAMATO!!!

A northeastern favorite, Beefamato has been a prized ingredient in the best cocktails for many years. A tomato cocktail from concentrate, Beefamato is made from pure beef broth with a touch of worchester sauce for that extra tang. Great to have on hand for parties, sauces.

:woohoo:

FYI, I've lived in the Northeast my entire life, and I have never seen this. Clamato yes, Beefamato, NO!! :o

16. Clamato is excellent!
Just keep a bottle around in case a child accidentally drinks drain cleaner or eats a bottle of aspirin. One sip of Clamato, and it'll be straight back up, lickety-split. Clamato makes Ipecac taste like a banana daquiri.

9. It's a beer with a shot or two of tomato juice in it.
They call them Red Draws in Texas.

10. I call bull.
(pun intended)
You're right, the drink is Clamato, not Beefamato. The latter sounds more like a favorite in Kansas or points south and west of there.

12. Yeah, but they don't define "Northeast" Maybe they mean PA or DE.
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 07:17 PM by Gormy Cuss
but it sure isn't a New England thing as far back I can recall and since my father never met a tomato juice product that he didn't like -- if that stuff was available in Maine he would have bought. He likes V8, Clamato, the works. I don't recall ever seeing it at Star Market either.

20. I agree.
I think they are taking 'Northeast' pretty broadly.
Never heard of Beefamato.

Cocktails should contain bourbon. And ice. Period.

OK, maybe a little Coke (or Pepsi) to add a touch of color ...
