What's for dinner tonight?
My oldest sister dropped off my dinner, leftover ham, and cheese potatoes from her Easter dinner yesterday.

6. salt, pepper a little olive oil and put it on the grill
Usually not tough if you get a thin one. Sometimes I marinade and/or pound it.
Its less tough than flank steak and has more flavor.

24. make sure you cut it right
I think keeping it tender might have something to do with how it's cut. I don't know what the culinary term is, but in sewing it'd be "on the bias." lol

16. that's not a whole lotta calories, but you've probably eaten better than
the 100,000's of people who had a "dollar meal" at MacDonald's, et al today.

18. Venison and deviled eggs.
Cooked a big pot of venison that's destined for deer stew tomorrow. I ate some of that and finished off the leftover deviled eggs from yesterday. Maybe I'll go for the leftover ham later.

21. Well that's pretty much what I did.

There is nothing finer to eat. My 5 year old niece spent the night with us last week. She won't hardly eat anything but she loves deer steaks. Amazing, how much one little skinny girl can put away.

Steaks from the loin are best but round (ham) steaks are pretty good too unless you get a deer that was about 100 years old. I guess I'll have to settle for round steak if I get any and save the best stuff for the little one. I think I've got enough left for the next time she comes over.

Hope you get some soon yourself.
