I'll say it: The "upside down" ketchup bottle is a mistake.
You know, the new-ish ones where the bottom is the cap. Allegedly, it's so you don't have to work so hard when the bottle is close to empty.

Like this:

You still have to shake it, or all the watery goo collects at the bottom, or as luck would have it, what is now the cap.

This design is pure rubbish.

9. This is why really fucking white people shouldn't be allowed to cook.
Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 02:24 PM by LeftyMom
English food? Horrible. Irish food? Even worse- all starch, no spices. Swedes? Fish soaked in lye is a treat, ffs. Germans? They should stick to beer. The Scots batter and deep fry everything to hide the taste, and I would too if the national dish involved offal.

Thank goodness you have me to address your genetic inadequacies and make you real food. Clearly you can't be trusted to do it yourself, ketchup eater. :eyes:

Not that I eat it anymore, but it does.

You and your Western bias. BTW, the Dutch invented the doughnut. So there.

12. Uh no. Dead fish is gross. Even smart omnis (I made a funny) know this.
Cooking fish smells like unwashed ass. It tastes so bad that people garnish it with tartar sauce, which looks and smells as if it were scraped off of street whores, to make it better. It is that vile.

You would know this if you were raised somewhere civilized, you silly masshole.

19. You've obviously never cooked good fish.

Tuna steak smells quite good, grouper's all right, and mahi's not bad either. You just shouldn't overcook them, or they will start stinking. Cod and the like, on the other hand, turn nasty before you can cook them to a safe temperature.

And tartar sauce tastes excellent, although remoulade sauce is much better.

On the other hand, forget to clean an outdoor grill's grease/oil/juice trap for an entire August in Florida, and you'll encounter a new low in disgusting smells. (My father and I learned that lesson the hard way.)

13. that doesn't make sense
the water stuff is on top, so if the ketchup bottle is always in its correct orientation there should be no water.

I don't use ketchup, so I've yet to see this first hand

Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 03:57 PM by DS1
Used to be Obama, but then I saw that list thing and decided I wanted no part of that (still support the guy, just not most of the dickwads around here), went to profile, was scrolling for a new av and clicked on soap.

I think it's about Fight Club. It works.

23. Can't you store it the other way round? It's not like the label has to be right side up.
Unless it's self flipping.

Me, I use the old style shaped bottles and store them upside down.

:P

Where's the outrage in the poor design? The deception of a trusting public that this type of ketchup delivery is superior?

32. I normally use Muir Glen's organic variety.
This was the free half of a BOGO my mom bought. Why, I don't know.

Not a lick of HFCS in the usual brand. Comes in the proper bottle, as well.
