...I had no choice in it. The "Beaver" aspect was an affectionate diminutive traditional in my family going back to the 1880s-- I haven't a clue as to why. I never asked. I simply never fucking ASKED, can you believe that? We didn't ask questions. That's how it went. There just wasn't a lot of communication in my family about anything. Ever. I'm a bit more enlightened now, and mentally healthier, and I've got TONS of questions, answers to which I'm sure I could pry out of my parents, had they not drunk themselves to death in the late '90s. Oh WELL.

I live for today and the promise of tomorrow. Incidentally, I was never a frat boy, though I acted like one until well past 30. There were only two fraternities good enough for my father. I refused to pledge either one. They were full of assholes. This cost me a good deal of coin, it turns out!
