Have you ever just blown off a job interview (as jobseeker)?
We were set to do a panel interview a candidate for a paraprofessional position this morning and the guy just doesn't show up. Doesn't call us or return calls.
I've had people show up late and I've had them disappear afterwards. I've even had employees go through no-show days, but this is the first time I've had a job candidate blow me off.

4. I once got an interview with a parliamentary news service and I knew
I was in no way qualified. Don't know why I even sook out the job. I'm no newsperson.

5. Once
I blew off an interview one time. It was a second interview. In the first interview my potential manager asked, "Do you cry much? 'Cause I keep hiring people who cry every time I criticize them." Eeek! I answered "no" and was asked back to a second interview. Despite being unemployed at the time, I decided at the last second not to go to the second interview. I know that I should have called, but I figured that the hiring manager didn't have a solid grasp on decency anyway. (I was also too chicken to call.)

6. I am in HR...it happens around twice a week for me.
I can almost predict based on the way they sound when scheduling the interview if they are going to come in or not. If they call and reschedule due to a "family emergency", it is almost certain they will not show up to the rescheduled interview. I once had someone accept a position and not show up on their start date. When calling to check on them around noon (there were awful blizzard conditions outside), they said they did not want the job. This after we negotiated salary and fed-ex'd an offer letter that he had signed and faxed back.

I have never done it personally. Though I have seen it countless times.
